Bornholm , various local organisations
Over the years the foundation has contributed with minor amounts to various humanitarian and social organisations on Bornholm – as recognition of their important work on the island. Also private persons in need, living on Bornholm, have profited by the foundation.
Bornholm’s Central Hospital
In co-operation with the management of Bornholm’s Central Hospital the foundation has financed the purchase of a Dual Energy X-ray Absortiometry, or DEXA scanning device which is currently the most widely used method to measure bone mineral density. The foundation has also granted a considerable amount to the construction of a palliative section on Bornholm’s Central Hospital.
Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders(MSF)
In recognition of the important work that MSF does, the foundation has for a number of years been a dedicated financial supporter of Doctors Without Borders.
Ronald McDonald House
Ronald McDonald House Charity provides “home away from home” accommodation for the families of children requiring in-patient care in hospitals and hospices. The foundation donated one family room in the existing house in Copenhagen.
Danish Red Cross
The foundation has over the years supported various Danish Red Cross projects – and especially the Health Program in the areas of Sunsari and Solukhumbu in Nepal.
DanChurchAid
The foundation and DanChurchAid recently entered into a partnership concerning financial support to the Malawi area.
WWF
The foundation has supported WWF’s research project for the protection of marine areas in the Danish part of the Northsea.
